The IB Diploma English B curriculum is a language acquisition course designed for students with prior experience in English who are not native speakers. It focuses on enhancing communication skills, intercultural understanding, and critical thinking through diverse forms of language use. The curriculum covers five prescribed themes—Identities, Experiences, Human Ingenuity, Social Organisation, and Sharing the Planet—while developing reading, writing, listening, and speaking skills. Higher Level (HL) students also analyze two literary works from the IB Prescribed Reading List, deepening their textual analysis and interpretative skills.
