DP History
The IB Diploma Programme (IBDP) History course develops students' understanding of historical events, perspectives, and global interconnections through a comparative and inquiry-based approach. Covering prescribed topics, world history themes, and case studies, the curriculum emphasizes critical thinking, source analysis, and historical argumentation.
Assessments include Paper 1 (source-based questions), Paper 2 (comparative essays on world history themes), and Paper 3 (regional depth studies for HL students), along with the Internal Assessment (IA), where students conduct independent historical research. This course encourages students to evaluate historical interpretations, draw connections between past and present, and develop a global perspective on history.
