MYP Language & Literature
The MYP Language and Literature curriculum fosters critical and creative engagement with literary and non-literary texts, developing skills in listening, speaking, reading, writing, viewing, and presenting. Guided by key concepts such as communication, creativity, and perspective, students explore genre, purpose, context, and style to enhance analytical and linguistic abilities.
The curriculum encourages text analysis, interdisciplinary connections, and self-expression, assessed through four equally weighted criteria: Analyzing, Organizing, Producing Text, and Using Language. By cultivating deep inquiry and effective communication, MYP Language and Literature nurtures a lifelong appreciation for language, literature, and human expression.
